China Electronics Corporation (China Electronics Corporation) is a state-owned and wholly-owned large-scale group company directly managed by the central government and the largest state-owned IT central enterprise in China. Providing electronic information technology products and services as its main business, it is China's largest state-owned comprehensive IT enterprise group. China Electronics has 36 secondary companies and 15 holding listed companies with more than 110,000 employees.
The group was established in May 1989. In 1995, it was further authorized by the former Ministry of Electronics Industry, and the operation and management department was the state-owned assets of all enterprises. In 2000, it became a key state-owned enterprise directly managed by the central government. In August 2005, the company reorganized and integrated China Great Wall Computer Group Corporation. In 2007, it reorganized and integrated 7 electronics companies in Nanjing, including Panda Electronics Group. In 2009, it acquired Guanjie Technology Co., Ltd. and Jingmen Technology Co., Ltd. In 2010, the company reorganized and integrated China Zhenhua Electronics Group Corporation. In 2012, it reorganized and integrated Chengdu Jinjiang Electric Manufacturing Co., Ltd. At the end of 2012, with the approval of the State Council, Rainbow Group was incorporated into China Electronics as a whole. In 2014, Great Wall Technology Co., Ltd. was privatized and delisted in the Hong Kong stock market.
The group has nearly 50 second-tier member companies and 14 listed companies. The core business is distributed in the strategic and basic electronic information industry involving national security, integration of integrated circuits and key components, software and systems, high-tech electronics, computers and core components, mobile communication terminals and services, e-commerce and engineering. The six business areas have broad influence and strong competitive advantages.
On July 19, 2018, the Fortune Global 500 list was released, and China Electronic Information Industry Group Co., Ltd. ranked 369.
